Aligning sales and marketing

Topic

Aligning sales and marketing

The technology bringing together marketing and sales activities

At this breakfast, we’ll look at how marketing automation tools (such as Hubspot and Marketo) are superseding websites as the core weapon* in the digital marketing toolbox for businesses of all sizes.

Drawing on examples from Attacat’s clients who have implemented this type of technology we will discuss how these tools can solve sales and marketing problems such as:

  • Struggling to prove the value of marketing activities
  • Marketing generated leads not being followed up by the sales team
  • Inefficient/time-consuming processes
  • Too many SaaS tools not talking to each other
  • Leads that aren’t (yet!) leads/inappropriate follow up
  • Inconsistent messaging

We’ll also consider other tools doing similar things such as Mailchimp and Salesforce.

*Attendees at last year’s 10th anniversary breakfast may remember Tim Barlow introducing his concept of “Weapons of mass interaction” – simply making the point that websites are only one cog in the marketing (and sales) system.  This breakfast will build on that concept of needing to deliver (and monitor) a coherent user journey over both time (any point of the purchase decision process) and space (whether that space is a social network, an email inbox, in person, on our website or where-ever a prospective customer happens to be).

Who Should Attend

Although the breakfast will be focused on lead generation, owners and marketers of all types of business will also benefit. Basically, anyone involved in a marketing or sales role will find this a useful and informative presentation.

Speaker

Andrew Morgan heads up the lead generation team at Attacat.  He has steered the agency’s journey to becoming a Gold Hubspot partner.  This has enabled Attacat to move from simply generating leads (from marketing activities such as Google Ads) for clients to being able to prove the value of that lead generation and “close the loop” with sales teams. He has worked with PPC accounts big and small during his time at the agency and is responsible for clocking up no less than seven nominations for Attacat at Google’s Premier Partner Awards. He has a wealth of knowledge on anything PPC so feel free to fire away with any questions on the day.

We hope you can make it along to this event. If so, I look forward to seeing you on the day. If you have found this post interesting please share it with your online community. Thank You.
